In the age of the Internet when something phenomenal happens or is unexplainable, you know a new meme, hashtag or trend will be created to help it go viral. For San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, all three happened to him this season with the invention of Kaepernicking. But it quickly caught steam after his record breaking playoff performance against the Green Bay Packers in primetime on national TV. Just enter #Kaepernicking on Twitter and you will see what I am talking about.
Kaepernicking is the 49ers Faithful version of planking and, dare I say, Tebowing. But of course it is even better than those poses because, well, it belongs to the San Francisco 49ers and Kaepernick is far superior to Tim Tebow at quarterback. If you don’t know what Kaepernicking is, chances are you have seen it done by Kaepernick any time after he scored a touchdown. It has become his signature pose in which he kisses his tattooed biceps after scoring. Just take a look at the picture above.
After Kaepernick had 444 all-purpose yards and four touchdowns in the NFC Division Round win against the Packers, the rest of the NFL world not only learned about his abilities at quarterback, but also about his signature pose. Grant it, it is only Niner fans who do the pose, but would you want it any other way? This one is ours 49ers Faithful.
